Judith Dandy

Judith’s former career as a professional social worker had occasionally given her the opportunity to work with bereaved families, and she had always been interested in the field of bereavement support. Her interest in the role of the funeral director grew, and she decided to change career and learn how to care for people who have died and their families directly. During 2014 Judith spent time working with both large national funeral directors and small independent businesses. She underwent training with GreenFuse in funeral directing and received training in home care of people whose families want them to remain at home. She shadowed a number of highly regarded funeral professionals and attended a number of workshops and supplementary courses before feeling ready to launch her own business. Subsequently Judith has gained both the Certificate and Diploma in Funeral Services, qualifications gained through studying and assessment with the British Institute of Funeral Directors.

Jo Parsons

Funeral coordinator

Jo joined Dandelion Farewells in 2016, bringing considerable experience of working alongside families in diverse and sensitive situations. A former primary school teacher, Jo has excellent skills in planning and communication, along with invaluable creativity. Alongside funeral and bereavement care, Jo’s particular areas of focus are the delicate area of baby and infant loss, Dandelion Farewell Dreams, and the complexities and sensitivities of Child Bereavement.

Clare Gibby

Funeral coordinator

After 23 years as a dispensing optician, Clare joined Dandelion Farewells in 2019. Her career within the healthcare sector has enabled her to seamlessly transfer her skills of working sensitively, with many different people, into the area of funerals and bereavement care. Clare is particularly interested in the experiences of our families beyond their initial bereavement, through her work with our Dandelion Companions group.

We are committed to the personal development of each team member, to benefit the care Dandelion Farewells can offer to the families we support. We maintain an interest in current training opportunities and participate whenever possible.
