❛An excellent event! Very thought provoking, sensitively delivered and very informative❜

A Guided Farewell has been founded as a platform through which to deliver an insight into the work and roles of the funeral director, to our professional colleagues.

Dandelion Farewells is owned and run by Judith, supported by a skilled team offering collective qualifications, experience and local knowledge. We coordinate arrangements which are individually tailored to the needs and circumstances of each family, creating a truly personal funeral.

A Guided Farewell is principally aimed at those who work, volunteer or study within the caring profession; including nursing homes, hospitals, respite and palliative care organisations. We recognise that staff in these roles are often engaged in conversations with individuals or families around end of life choices and funeral wishes, which would be enhanced by a deeper understanding of some of the information we have available.

Our workshops are mobile, we can come to you to deliver the presentation and discussion or you may prefer to visit our premises in Wisborough Green. They can also be tailored and adapted to suit your organisation’s needs, depending on the time that you have available.

❛The presentation was informative and beneficial for my nursing practice.❜

Each session is informal and thought provoking, encouraging transparent and honest discussion around the role of the funeral director and the continuation of care of the person who has died. There will be an open forum for questions to help dispel myths and answer any uncertainties.

Upon attendance, everyone will receive handouts and a certificate, together with important and relevant information, which can be beneficial for NVQ Certification.

The elements of A Guided Farewell include information and opportunities to explore and understand:

The roles and responsibilities of the Funeral Director

Transfer of care procedures

The role of the Coroner

Registering a death

How the care after death continues

The support we provide to the family of the person who has died

The full range of funeral choices, sensitive to personal customs, traditions, environmental and financial considerations

Light refreshments will be provided by Dandelion Farewells.

If you would like to take advantage of our free workshop, A Guided Farewell, designed to meet the needs of your business and its people, or would just like some further information, then please contact us.
