Dandelion Farewells is able to provide a range of services and resources on your behalf. We are available to work in partnership with you on many of these, to enable your involvement and consider more moderate costs. You may wish to consider taking an active part in some or many aspects of the funeral. We invite you to discuss your requirements with us.
As a modern bespoke business, we offer flexibility to provide individually tailored arrangements to respond to the particular requests of each family.
Therefore, our approach to the cost elements for our services endeavours to reflect the resources, staff time and travel required for each funeral, to ensure best value for the arrangements you would like us to coordinate on your behalf. In essence, we will modify our charges for the most simple of arrangements; while equally, we can meet the needs of very detailed arrangements which may need additional preparation and support on the day.

Professional Services
We will meet you in the convenience of your own home or you can visit us in our comfortable lounge at our premises, nestled in the village of Wisborough Green, to discuss the funeral you need to arrange. We also appreciate that some people may prefer to make arrangements with us by telephone and email and we can facilitate this approach for these occasions. You will be provided with comprehensive information to guide the decisions you want to make and we will endeavour to ensure that you do not feel overwhelmed by all the details.
You will be kept informed on the progress of all the arrangements and advised at every step. We are available to respond to your queries as they arise, recognising that this may be in the evening or at weekends.
We will collect the person who has died and care for them until the date of the funeral.
We will co-ordinate the completion of all the necessary paperwork for burial or cremation and ensure that these are delivered accordingly.
On the day of the funeral you will be guided by us throughout our time together and we will ensure that the arrangements are completed just as you requested. We will provide the assistance of four colleagues to carry the coffin (additional staff may be required, see supplementary charges). We are dedicated to supporting your involvement in elements of the funeral which you feel are significant for you to assist with.
Dandelion Farewells provides you with the personal attention you need during this time of planning and preparing for a funeral. Each funeral is tailored to the needs of the individual family and we assure you of our understanding and support throughout the process of making arrangements for this occasion.
Our charges apply for arrangements within a 30 mile radius from Wisborough Green. We are able to provide journeys and funerals beyond this distance, charges advised at the time of planning.

Disbursements
These are third party fees paid on your behalf before the funeral and we may request payment for these charges to be made to Dandelion Farewells prior to the day of the funeral:
Cost of cremation (this will vary according to which crematorium is chosen). As a guide: Worthing Crematorium: £1159; Guildford Crematorium: £1225; Chichester Crematorium: £1150; Surrey & Sussex Crematorium: £1395
Cost of burial, including the grave and interment fee (this will vary according to which cemetery or burial ground is chosen). As a guide: Hills Cemetery, Horsham: from £2780; Clandon Wood Natural Burial Ground, near Guildford: from £4190: Burial in local churchyard (if open) from £990
Charges made by places of worship, minister or celebrant fee: from £240
Additional costs
Our call-out services to bring someone into our care outside of our normal working hours – between 6pm and 9am, and during weekend and bank holidays: £265
Our Professional Fee provides for care for the person who has died for 28 days from the time they arrive at Dandelion Farewells; we can continue the period of care beyond
this timeframe and apply a charge of £35 per day.
Individual arrangements for a ceremony venue separate to the place of cremation or burial (‘second venue’), our supplementary charge:
Second venue unattended, on the same day: £200
Second venue unattended, on a different day: £260
Second venue with an attended ceremony, on the same day: £330
Second venue with an attended ceremony, on a different day: £450
Supplementary staff costs may apply where the dimensions of the coffin or circumstances for the ceremony require an additional pair of bearers to assist carrying the coffin – fees advised at the time of making arrangements, dependent on location.
There is a significant variance of products and costs. This information is intended as a general guide to assist you as you consider some of these aspects of the funeral.

Coffin (there is a wide variety available and prices vary according to specification and materials chosen). As a guide: oak veneered: £350; willow: £550; plain cardboard coffin: £260; cardboard contemporary themed coffin from £450; solid pine with rope or wooden handles: £580.
Temporary wooden grave marker: Cross: £85 Plinth: £45
Assistance may also be provided to arrange for floral tributes, newspaper announcements and orders of service. Details are available upon request.
Equipment hire for unique ceremony venues and for crockery/cutlery/glassware – price on request.
Internment of Ashes
Location within a 10 mile radius, further distances charged individually.
Administration (liaising with venue), plot preparation & completion: £225; with attendance of funeral director: £275
A range of ashes caskets and scatter tubes are available, details and prices available on request.
Payment Details
To maintain our fair and modest schedule of costs we ask for all charges and fees to be paid within fourteen days following the date of the funeral. Your co-operation is appreciated.
