Dandelion Farewells
Dandelion Farewells was founded by Judith Dandy in January 2015. As the company has evolved and grown we are now a small team, each person bringing to our work a passion and commitment to the ethos of the company:

To provide comprehensive, professional funeral care with a pastoral thread of personal care and support;

To share our understanding of funeral options, to empower people with an awareness of choices and costs.

Judith explains: “For us, it is important that people can have the chance to ask any questions they need to, or want to, in a relaxed setting. Funerals are often a subject that are not discussed until required and we hope to help ease this by being a familiar friendly face that is on hand to help or answer any questions or concerns whenever they come up. We have created the concept of our ‘mobile lounge’ to be more accessible and convenient for people to engage with us.” The mobile lounge has been created to form an integral part of the Community Connections programme – to open opportunities for conversations, and to support the many community initiatives of Dandelion Farewells. The mobile lounge will be in regular attendance in local villages, ensuring that the Dandelion Farewells team are a well- known and welcoming face for the people in the communities we serve. In January 2020, to mark our 5th anniversary, we launched our Community Connections programme and unveiled the new resources vehicle we commissioned to provide a mobile community lounge.

We are passionate about being available for conversations regarding end-of-life wishes, funeral options and bereavement support

We always endeavour to provide transparent guidance, sensitive financial advice and pastoral care

We want to be present, and visible within the local villages and towns for our community to meet us and seek the signposting that would be most helpful for each person

This may be a helpful resource for you, or someone you know – or, it may not. Please be assured that our locations will be carefully selected and our presence will be sensitive for those who may prefer to walk by and not engage in a conversation or collect information.

Please contact our office if you would like to know of our outdoor locations in the coming weeks, or refer to our Facebook page.
